Making a Healthy 'Game Plan' for
Bowl Season
If you're one of my fans that
will enjoy watching a bowl game
this year, here are a few ideas
for enjoying game-day snacks
without surrendering great
taste.
Try eating baked chicken wings
instead of fried wings. This
eliminates the added calories of
the grease.
Use salsa or tomato-based dips
instead of dips that include
sour cream or any type of
cheese. Tomato dips are lower in
calories than the dairy-based
dips, plus tomatoes have lots of
nutrients for your body.
Drink lots of water and limit
the sodas or other sugary
drinks. This really cuts down on
the calories.
These are just a few ideas to
help keep your energy levels
high, keep your calorie intake
low, and allow you to still eat
snacks while watching bowl
games.
