Justin's Tips
Week 4 -
Studying & School Work
Studying and getting good grades
is a must to be eligible to play
sports and participate in other
extracurricular activities in
most school districts. You will
need to make studying more of a
priority than even the football
in order to play football! Plus,
you will need an education to
success in life. When football
or your designated sport is
over, you will use your eduction
to make a living to take care of
yourself and your family.
Set academic goals, break them
into small steps, and start with
those steps. Start small and you
will be surprised by how easy it
is to finish.
Be proactive. Many teams travel
outside of their home city. That
takes away even more time from
school. So it is imperative that
you keep up with your school
work. Make sure you know what
class assignments you have and
their due dates.
Communicate with your teachers.
Let them know that you are
interested in your education
just as much as you are
interested in your sport. Ask
for their assistance if you have
questions or need help. Believe
it or not, most of them want you
to succeed and will be willing
to help you.
