Blalock’s Tips to Become a
Better Football Player
As you know, I grew up in Texas
where football is a religion.
Not only did I start playing
flag football at age six, my
Dad, like most dads, took me to
the Plano East High School
football games on Friday nights
from age six until I could drive
myself! I wasn’t always watching
the games, but that was where I
starting really learning about
tackle football.
Each week, throughout the
football season, I will share
with you my tips for being a
successful football player. I
hope you’ll find them
interesting, if not helpful to
your football playing days.
Week 10 -
Postseason Play
If you're in high school or
college, you're getting closer
to the end of the season. Time
to pull out those goals again,
dust them off and get focused
for the playoffs or bowl games.
You will need to re-energize
yourself because it's probably
been a long, physical season.
If you can afford it, get a
massage to help your body feel
better. Take a little down time
for yourself to clear your mind
so you can remember those plays
in crunch situations. And most
of all, be sure those grades are
passing or better so you are
able to play!
