Justin Blalock’s 4th Annual
“UnLOCKing Potential” All
Position Football Camp

Here's What Happened at the 2012
Camp ...
Saturday, June
23, 2012 was hot in more ways
than one. The temperature got
over 100 degrees and over 100
dedicated student athletes came
to the Justin Blalock 3rd Annual
Football Camp, “UnLOCKing
Potential” All-Position Football
Camp. They came to show what
they could already do, but they
also came to learn more and
unLOCK their potential to excel
on the football field.
This was the first year to be in
the indoor athletic facility at
Plano East Sr. High School. We
like the change because it
really helped 100 degrees feel
just a little cooler!
The campers were excited to
begin the stretching and drills
that could help them become
better players during their next
football season. They watched
and listened attentively to the
coaches to make sure they didn’t
miss anything!
The campers were taught by
current and former NFL players,
along with Plano High School
coaches and a guest coach from
Mansfield. The camp always
features an academic component
to it. This year, there was a
workshop on the 5 Things It Will
Take to Get an Athletic College
Scholarship. The workshop was
presented by Marcus Price, a
former NFL player turned
motivational speaker. Marcus
played his college football at
LSU. He also encouraged the
campers to practice
self-discipline now because no
one will make them do what it
takes to be a successful student
athlete in college.
If you missed this year’s camp,
don’t miss next year’s!

Camp Comments
I wanted to thank
you for putting on
such a great camp.
My son enjoyed it
very much. I enjoyed
the very informative
parent meeting and
appreciate how
extremely organized
the event was.
Thank you again.
Looking forward to
next year.

“I would like to
thank you and your
family, especially
Justin, for one of
the BEST camps ever.
We’ve been to many
camps. Yours was
very well organized
and professional. We
truly appreciate the
efforts of all the
staff that
participated. My son
learned a lot
today.”
--Mrs. J. Suplita
“My son LOVED it
[the camp] and felt
he got quality
feedback from the
coaches and the camp
was handled very
professionally.
...everyone we
encountered was
positive, helpful
and professional. My
son was very
impressed and I
THANK YOU ALL FOR
THAT. I don't feel
there are enough
positive role models
in professional
sports these days
and it's very nice
to see that there
are still some left.
I appreciate
Justin's background
outlined on the
website and applaud
him and his parents
for focusing first
on education. I had
my son visit the
website to learn
more about him.”
Thank you all so
very much!
